Infin8 Apps community programPilot in development

Infin8-Inspiration. Ideas today. Stronger tomorrows.

A creation-first youth technology, AI and creative mentorship program. Young people start with something they already care about, build a real project with a mentor beside them, learn to question what the AI actually did, and see the footprint their technology leaves on the land it runs on.

Program film

One minute on what Inspir8tion is for.

The film shows the proposed learning model, the responsible AI workflow, the footprint pillar and the community-led promise. It illustrates a program in development, not a completed pilot.

Silent film with on-screen text. Pilot dates, location, age eligibility and access arrangements are agreed with a host before any registration opens.

Start with what you love

Eight ways in. One creation-first model.

A participant interested in music does not have to begin with programming exercises. Interest leads, concepts follow, and every pathway ends in something you can see, hear, run or share.

  • 01Coding & Software

Python, JavaScript, logic, debugging and explaining what the code does.

  • 02AI & Automation

Prompting, verification, local versus cloud models, agents and safe automation.

  • 03Web Development

HTML, CSS, responsive layout, accessibility and how a site reaches the world.

  • 04Design & Branding

Typography, colour, layout, logos and social graphics with a brand system.

  • 05Video & Content

Shooting, editing, captions, formats and storytelling that respects consent.

  • 06Music & Audio

Recording, samples, sequencing, MIDI, mixing and simple audio software ideas.

  • 07Gaming & Creator Tech

Streaming, overlays, Discord communities, capture workflows and game concepts.

  • 08Community Projects

Host-approved resources, events pages and tools that become locally useful.

RESPONSIBLE AI

AI-assisted. Never AI-dependent.

AI helps participants learn, brainstorm, debug and move faster. It never replaces understanding. Every session practises the same workflow until it becomes a habit.

  • What did the AI actually do?
  • Is this correct, and how would I check?
  • Can I explain it in my own words?
  • What should I never share with it?
Environment, ethics and stewardship

AI with a footprint you can see.

Modern AI runs in data centres that draw electricity, consume water for cooling and take up land, often near communities that did not choose them. Inspir8tion teaches young creators to notice that footprint and to build with it in mind.

Electricity

Where the power comes from, why training and running large models costs so much of it, and how a smaller or local model changes the bill.

Water

How cooling works, why it matters to lakes, rivers and watersheds, and what it means to share a water source with a data centre.

Land

What gets built, where, and who lives next to it. Hardware supply chains, e-waste and the case for repair over replacement.

  • Right-sized models
  • Local first where practical
  • Measure and cache work
  • Repair and reuse hardware
  • Offline-capable lessons
  • Ask whether AI is needed at all

Technology that respects the land it runs on. Specific actions, measured results, and no impact claims before the evidence exists.

Community-led delivery

Technology framework. Local authority.

Infin8-Inspiration teaches technology and creation. Host organizations and community leadership decide everything about their participants, protocols and culture.

01

Hosts set the rules

Eligibility, scheduling, supervision, safeguarding, accessibility and youth supports stay with the host organization.

02

Culture stays with the community

Where language, stories, art, history or traditional knowledge enter a project, Elders, Knowledge Keepers and community leadership decide what may be taught, recorded, digitized or shared.

03

Consent before capture

No photo, video, voice or AI processing of participants or cultural material without the applicable host, guardian and community permissions.

04

Youth shape the program

A small Creator Circle tells us what they want to learn, which tools to demonstrate, what is confusing and what should come next.

Proposed first pilot

Eight sessions. One showcase.

Each session introduces only what the next step needs, then gives the largest block of time to building, testing and improving. Discover, learn, create, improve, share.

  1. Technology Is for CreatingSafe setup, files and folders, interests, a first artifact and the creation loop.
  2. AI as a Learning PartnerPrompting, verification, privacy, local versus cloud, and the footprint of a request.
  3. Build Your First Web ExperienceHTML and CSS, page structure, responsive styling and accessibility basics.
  4. Design & MediaComposition, typography, colour, image handling and a small promotional asset.
  5. Music & Digital AudioRecording, samples, sequencing, MIDI, arrangement and a short audio outcome.
  6. Programming & AutomationSolve a useful problem in Python or JavaScript, then run the compute footprint check on it.
  7. Build Your Own ProjectIndividual or small-team sprint. Mentors ask questions and debug beside you rather than taking over.
  8. Creator ShowcaseShow what you built, what changed, what it cost to run and how you shrank it. No ranking.

Build the first pilot

A co-designed pilot needs more than software.

Infin8 Apps brings the curriculum, project templates, technical mentorship and facilitator resources. A first pilot also needs a host, local youth workers, access support and people who want to see it work.

  • Host organizationParticipants, space, scheduling, safeguarding, accessibility and community policies.
  • Community and cultural leadershipWhere applicable, cultural guidance, language guidance, permissions and protocols.
  • Mentors and youth workersLocal adults who can sit beside a young creator and ask the next good question.
  • Funders and supportersDevices, connectivity, materials, delivery costs, accessibility resources and approved in-kind support.

Next step

Start with a local needs conversation.

What do young people here want to create? What does a host already have? Which safeguards apply? What would make a first pilot genuinely useful? Families, communities, mentors, potential hosts and supporters are all welcome to write.

An Infin8 Apps community program. Different people. Same horizon.
