Infin8 Education · Aquatic animal identification

Infin8 Fish Finder

You are told the name of a wild fish or aquatic animal and given a clue about it. Three animals are in the water, numbered 1, 2 and 3. Tap the right one.

Every animal is drawn from its own real body plan — body depth, snout, fins, tail and markings — and sized by its real body length, so the answer really is there to see.

The first four levels are all in Canadian water — the Great Lakes, the Pacific coast, the Atlantic coast and the Arctic. After that you travel to the Gulf of Mexico, the Amazon, the North Sea, the Mekong, the East African lakes and the Great Barrier Reef.

Every level finishes with a bonus round. Build a real aquatic-survey kit — underwater cameras, eDNA water samples, acoustic receivers, dated notes — and leave out anything that would harm, hook or disturb an animal.

Tap an animal to answer, or press 1, 2 or 3. Move left with Arrow Left / A and move right with Arrow Right / D. Confirm with Space. Need another clue? Tap the card at the top, or press H. The first clue is free; extra clues cost a few points. Press P to pause.
